In the afternoon, join us for the empowering and inclusive Woman + Non-Binary Tournament. Battle Axe Throwing is thrilled to be hosting Australia's first Womens and Non-Binary Major IATF ‘Major’ Marquee Tournament, with the 1st place winner will receive an automatic bid into the 2025 International Axe Throwing Championships (IATC). This event is a celebration of skill, strength, and community. Cheer on talented competitors and witness extraordinary displays of precision and power. Whether you're participating or spectating, this tournament is sure to be an unforgettable experience. Ticket Price: $100 per person Registration: 12:00pm Start Time: 1:00pm Prize pool: $775 (1st $300, 2nd $200, 3rd $150, 4th $125) + Trophies, Merch & Sponsor Prizes! Tournament Rules: - This tournament is open to any thrower who meaningfully identifies as a woman, non-binary person, or other marginalized gender - IATF ‘Premier’ rules - IATF sanctioned ‘Major’ Marquee Tournament Tournament Format: - Pool Play Format (Group Stage, then single elimination) Every competitor will have a minimum of 5 matches with their registration fee. - IATF 'Major Marquee Tournament Information: - As a sanctioned IATF ‘Major’ Marquee Tournament, 1st place will receive an automatic bid into the 2025 International Axe Throwing Championships (IATC). - 2nd and 3rd place will receive automatic entry into an IATF ‘Grand Slam’ event within the following 12 months. - If the winner has already secured a bid into 2025 IATC or opts out of 2025 IATC participation, the prize bid will trickle down to the next highest placing player who is eligible. Tiebreakers: - IATF Big Axe Rules. Pool Play Tournament Format: The tournament starts with a ‘Group Stage’, where players are divided into groups of ‘x’ and play everyone in their Group once, totalling ‘x’-1 matches within their Group in a best 2 rounds out of 3 match format before any elimination takes place. Once all Group Stage matches are complete the top ‘y’ from each Group move onto a single elimination tournament bracket. *’x’ and ‘y’ to be determined proportionally to the final total player pool of each tournament.
