Announcing the inaugural Battle Axe Open tournament, an officially sanctioned International Axe Throwing Federation ‘Major’ event.

In partnership with the IATF to be an integrated part of the tournament circuit feeding into the annual International Axe Throwing Championships.

To be held on Saturday January 27th 2024 with a host of additional tournaments across Friday the 26th and 27th  then all followed by the IATF Asia Pacific Regionals tournament on Sunday the 28th, this will be a weekend to remember!

Tournament Rules:

• Open tournament

• IATF ‘Premier’ rules

• 3-point ‘break paint’ Touch Clutch

• 3 unsuccessful Big Axe Clutch attempts allowed before having to bull-in again

Tournament Format:

• Swiss-System with Playoffs

Battle Axe Open Rules:

• IATF Premier ruleset in play, with the addition of a 3-point ‘break paint’ Touch Clutch.

• Officially sanctioned IATF ‘Major’ tournament.

• 1st place will receive an automatic bid into the 2024 International Axe Throwing Championships.

• 2nd, 3rd, and 4th place will receive automatic entry into any IATF ‘Grand Slam’ event within the following 12 months.

• If the winner has already secured a bid into 2024 IATC the prize bid will pass down to the highest placing player who hasn’t yet.
